Ceiling Insulation
Ceiling insulation will make a huge impact on your home by limiting heat loss. Up to 35% of heat loss is due to an uninsulated ceiling.
Retrofitting ceiling insulation will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Even if you have insulation, it might not meet the current standard.
For houses built before 2000, insulation may be inadequate, is no longer in good condition or in the case of many older houses, never fitted at all. In these cases, insulation can be easily retrofitted into the ceiling cavities (if accessible). In some cases, if the homeowner allows, we can create a new access or make an existing one bigger.
Wall Insulation
Wall insulation will make a huge impact on your home by limiting heat loss. Up to 25% of heat can be lost though an uninsulated home.
Retrofitting wall insulation will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Even if you have insulation, it might not meet the current standard.
For houses built before 2000, insulation specified may have been inadequate, is no longer in good condition or in the case of many older houses, never fitted at all.
In these cases, insulation can be easily retrofitted into the ceiling and underfloor cavities (if they are accessible). For existing homes, address the easier to access ceiling and underfloor insulation first – then consider whether adding wall insulation is a viable option for your home.
Underfloor Insulation
Underfloor insulation will make a huge impact on your home by limiting heat loss. Up to 10% of heat can be lost though an uninsulated underfloor.
Retrofitting underfloor insulation will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer. It reduces draughts and stop moisture from rising into your house.
Even if you have insulation, it might not meet the current standard.
For houses built before 2000, insulation may be inadequate, is no longer in good condition or in the case of many older houses, never fitted at all. Some houses have foil insulation, which is no longer up to standard, we can remove this and replace it with insulation.
In these cases, insulation can be easily retrofitted into the underfloor cavities (if they are accessible). In some cases, if the homeowner allows, we can create a new access or make an existing one bigger.
