Our Curtain Bank
The WISE Curtain Bank collects good-quality new and pre-loved curtains and gives them a second life in homes across Taranaki. Our team prepares and adapts the curtains so they are ready to provide warmth, comfort and better insulation in their new homes.
We provide curtains free of charge to eligible households who need extra support to keep their homes warm.
How it works
Curtains are donated: Community members, businesses and organisations donate good-quality pre-loved or new curtains to the WISE Curtain Bank.
We give them a new life: Our Curtain Bank team sorts, measures and prepares each set of curtains. Where needed, we cut and line the curtains so they are the right size and ready to provide better warmth and insulation in their new home.
We match them with a home: The curtains are provided to eligible households across Taranaki who need support to make their homes warmer.
We arrange installation: Our team will be in touch to arrange a suitable time for the curtains to be installed.
Are You Eligible?
You may be eligible for free curtains through the WISE Curtain Bank if you have a Community Services Card and live in Taranaki.
To apply, all you need to do is provide window measurements for the main living and sleeping areas of your home. Our team will then work with you to find suitable curtains and arrange installation.
The Curtain Bank is available to eligible households in Taranaki only.

Your donation gives curtains a second life and helps us provide free window coverings to whānau across Taranaki, helping make their homes warmer, more comfortable and energy efficient.
