Sausage Sizzle Success: Raising Funds for Warm Winter Blankets!

With years of experience through our Healthy Homes Initiative, we know how important it is for families/whānau to stay warm during the colder months, especially when temperatures drop and heating costs rise. That’s why we recently held a special event to help make a difference in our community: a sausage sizzle fundraiser, organised by our fantastic Healthy Homes Administrator, Bree.

With the support of staff from across various departments, Bree and the team raised an impressive $590 – all of which will go directly towards purchasing blankets for whānau in need. With the current cost of living, the need for warmth is greater than ever, these blankets will help provide comfort and security to those living in hardship.

Thank you to our community partners

Events like this don’t happen without the support of some amazing local businesses. We owe a huge thank you to Wendy and the team at PAK’n SAVE New Plymouth for donating 200 sausages for the fundraiser. We also want to give a special shoutout to Mitre 10 MEGA New Plymouth for lending us their community BBQ trailer. Your contributions helped make this event a huge success, and we are so grateful for your ongoing support of our work.
